Supportive Child Care Position - Out of School Care/Kinder care

Job Type: Part-time

We are in search of an energetic, passionate, and playful mentor for our Out-of-School students and our kindergarten students. An ideal candidate will have a commanding presence in the space, a wealth of project ideas to offer, and a gentle demenour with the students. An ideal candidate will also have excellent communication skills with other staff members, organizational skills to prepare for projects, and patience while coordinating with other staff. As our centre is located in the neighbourhood of Glastonbury in Kim Hung School, an ideal candidate will have access to a vehicle. Please note that we are specifically looking for a male mentor, but will consider all completed applications

The position is working with students between the ages of 5 and 10 between the hours of 11:30 am and 5:30 pm on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays. The position requires spearheading our "Science Wednesday" program, running experiments or cooking adventures with the students each week. As our centre is open during teacher's convention, summer and PD Days, we would also ask a staff in this position to be able to fill in during those days.

Supportive Child Care Position - Out of School Care

Job Type: Part-time 

We are looking for a creative and caring Child Care Educator for our afternoon class of students at Discovery Place Donald R. Getty. A successful candidate will have great organisational skills, dynamic project ideas, a strong voice in the classroom, patience with groups of of various age-ranges, and knowledgeable in implementing strategies.

The position is working with children in kindergarten - grade 6 before and after school. The hours range from 7:00am - 8:30am / 3:00pm - 6:00 pm (Monday - Friday) (7:00am - 8:30am / 2:00pm - 6:00pm on Thursdays)

A successful candidate must have a vehicle, as our location is in Donald R. Getty School located at 8102 Chappelle Way SW. The position is a part-time position, from Monday to Friday. Must be flexible with hours, as we are open on PD Days, non-instructional days, and in the summer.
